Dr. Judy Wilson, board certified in Internal Medicine with a special interest
in women’s health, grew up in Kensington Maryland as the youngest
of 5 children. She graduated with a B.A. in Science plus a teaching degree
from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania and went on to graduate from medical
school with a MD from University of Oklahoma. She met her husband Ken
Hunt, MD, in Grand Forks, North Dakota where they were cadaver partners
in anatomy lab at the University of North Dakota. How romantic can one
get! He retired in 2008 from his busy family practice in Dillion for 20
years and Mercury Street Medical in Butte for 8 years after he had a personal
successful cure of his cancer. They have 3 wonderful daughters and 2 amazing
grandchildren.
Dr. Wilson’s passions in medicine are preventive health, finding
disease early and thinking “outside the box”. She utilizes
natural alternatives when possible including bioidentical hormones, nutrition,
supplements and in general tries to weave together traditional western
medicine with alternative options such as massage/ spiritual growth etc
as well as alternative testing ex. Intracellular nutrition testing/ allergy
testing/ stool testing/ saliva testing/ and specialist referrals to get
to the bottom of whatever the problem is. Our goal is the best health
for our patients.
She views the patient/provider relationships as one needing:
- Mutual respect
- To meet whatever needs the patient has
- It to be one of the warmth and caring
- It to be collaborative between patient and provider
- The patient to be educated as to what medical problems they have in plain
easy to understand terms.
Dr. Wilson is blessed to have her nurse Theresa Duffy, RN by her side.
Theresa has worked with Dr. Hunt for many years in Dillon and Butte before
starting with Dr. Wilson in 2010 in Dillon. She is a gem and keeps Dr.
Wilson focused!
